1. Musician First Class Kevin Taylor has been selected as Navy Band’s Sailor of the Year, 2011. Chief Musician Emily Dickson and Musician First Class Jen Krupa have been selected as Chief and Sailor of the Quarter, respectively, for the period of October through December 2011.

2. Petty Officer Taylor is recognized for his exemplary leadership as Sea Chanters Crew Chief, Command Training Team Facilitator, Percussion Supply Manager, Convenience Check Cashier, and Percussionist.

3. Chief Dickson is recognized for her exceptional leadership as Recreation Committee Chair, Urinalysis Program Coordinator Assistant, Strings/Electronics Property Responsible Officer, and Harpist.

4. Petty Officer Krupa is recognized for her outstanding accomplishments as Commodores Leading Petty Officer, Conference Coordinator Assistant, Unit Librarian, Collateral Duties Administrative Assistant and Trombonist.

5. Petty Officers Adam Grimm and Randy Johnson were also nominated for Sailor of the Year by their Unit Leaders. Chief Musicians Rob Holmes and Trent Turner and Musicians First Class Lera League, Beth Revell, and Scott Shepherd were nominated by their Unit Leaders for Chief and Sailor of the Quarter, respectively. I commend all of you for your superb performance and dedicated service to Navy Band.
