Yesterday, we woke for our earliest departure this tour for a five-hour bus ride to Rochester, N.Y. We played at Roberts Wesleyan Community college in a beautiful hall in their life center. The audience was packed full of enthusiastic patrons. When Senior Chief Musician Gina Todd spoke to the audience, she asked them how many of them had seen the Concert Band last week and almost a quarter of them raised their hands. Thank you, shipmates, for paving the way for a full house!
It's hard to believe that today we enter Pennsylvania (our last state on this New England tour), and the tour is nearing an end. The audiences have been a reminder to me that I am so lucky to be able to serve my country, and make music with some of the world's finest musicians. It really is an honor to be a part of such a fantastic organization.
Musician 1st Class Kristin Pagent is a soprano vocalist in the Sea Chanters.
