A Fishy Situation for Two Commodores

The Commodores are on day 16 of their national concert tour, performing in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin.

On November 12, following our ninth concert in a row , we welcomed a day off in Michigan City, Ind. Most of the band used this time to relax, exercise, and catch up on some laundry. Chief Musician Gary Malvaso and I decided to buy some fishing gear and hit the lakes and rivers. Although unsuccessful in the first couple of spots, we finally ended up in a part of the river right next to the hotel. Luck was on our side in this spot and we had a great time catching some nice-sized steelhead trout, a first for both of us. In case you’re wondering, we did not bring our catch on the bus. The steelhead were released back into the river.
