Back Home Again in Indiana

The Commodores played to another full house in Elkhart, Ind. We have been a local favorite here in Elkhart having performed at the Elkhart Jazz Festival on numerous occasions over the last 20 years. A notable patron in attendance this evening was World War II veteran and former Navy musician, Mr. Ben Zornow. During the show Mr. Zornow, now 88 years old, was acknowledge by our master of ceremonies, Chief Musician Bill Mulligan and treated to a round of applause from the audience. Mr. Zornow stood proudly along with other veterans during our Salute to the Armed Forces. It never gets old seeing the pride on our veteran’s faces when we pay tribute to them during our shows. The Commodores got some air time with some footage of the concert featured on the local 11 o'clock news (WNDU NBC 16 South Bend).

Senior Chief Musician Phil Burlin is unit leader of the Commodores
