Back to Work

by Musician 1st Class Michael Webb

Well-rested from our maintenance day, the Sea Chanters resumed our tour yesterday by visiting Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Ill. I have to admit that the venues and audiences in Indiana set the bar pretty high, but the momentum continued as we had a wonderful space to perform in and an equally enthusiastic audience awaiting us in Palos Heights. Our sponsors ensured we were comfortable as well, with sandwiches and snacks greeting us when we arrived. It's truly a pleasure to be hosted by such accommodating partners when bringing our show to all these great cities across America. We don't say it enough, but, "Thank You!" to all our sponsors! Our tour would not be possible without all of your great efforts!

One of the more interesting facets of yesterday's performance for me was the amazing pipe organ that adorned the wall behind our performance spot. I wasn't alone in taking note of it, as many Sea Chanters commented that it was one of the more magnificent ones many of us had ever seen.

After the performance we enjoyed our last night staying in downtown Chicago and today we are headed to Rock Island, Ill., where we'll be performing at Augustana College. Hope to see you there!
