Another Great Year For Navy Music

In 2011, Navy musicians performed over 7,000 jobs for live audiences of over 15 million people and broadcast audiences of 223 million.



The U.S. Pacific Fleet Band deployed as part of Pacific Partnership 2011, with stops in Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, the Federated States of Micronesia, and liberty ports in New Caledonia and Australia.

U.S. Fleet Forces Band deployed for five months aboard USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) as part of Operation Continuing Promise, performing throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

The U.S. 7th Fleet Band deployed to Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT).

The U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band provided support for July 4 activities in 14 countries.

In 2011, Navy musicians supported 21 Navy Weeks across the U.S.
